RE: washer/dryers
Its all or none. They are vested under the old code unless they voluntarily request to use the new code but
that continues to be an all or none event.

Nichoel,
Thank you. So…they can just ask? In an email?

Except for one thing that would meet neither code, I believe the plans would meet the new code.

Lucy,
Plans are reviewed per the code that was in effect at the time of submittal. If they wish to elect to utilize the
new code that is a request from the applicant but must be done universally, they can not elect to use part of
the old and part of the new.

Nichoel,

I am reviewing a set of plans that was submitted earlier in the year and has two washer/dryer sets in a
dwelling unit. This wasn’t allowed in the first review round but we allow two w/d sets now.

I just wanted to confirm my understanding that we continue to review the plans under the code/interpretation
it was submitted under. Is there any way to incorporate the new provisions without making the applicant
withdraw and resubmit?

Lucy
