Hello Nichoel, I have been corresponding with Lucy on a plan set that includes two washer/dryers in a dwelling unit. Asking her where it specifies only one w/d in the code, she responded with the below forwarded message. You are the zoning administrator, you must be instructing her to say that. We were told over and over again that nothing would be changed until a new zoning administrator came in. You have been in your position now for a while. I need confirmation that you are interpreting the old code in the same way that Cody interpreted it and agree with and are enforcing his interpretation made on December 1 of 2026. Thank you. Lucy, please continue the review using the previous ordinances (not the ones accepted on July 6, 2026). Please show me where in the previous code it specified one washer/dryer per dwelling unit. Based on comments that Mike made on a recorded planning and zoning meeting, the code does not specify a specific number of washer/dryers. Jefferson (BLD2026-0106). We have a review in before us right now. I noted that there are two washer/dryer sets in each proposed dwelling unit. Per the code interpretation available at the time of the initial plan submittal, dwelling units were limited to one washer/dryer per dwelling unit. With the passing of Ordinance No. 2026-04 (July 6, 2026), two sets of washer/dryers are now permitted in each dwelling unit. If you would like, we can review the plans under the post Ordinance 2026-04 standards upon your request or we can continue to review them per the older interpretation. ## Page 3 I have not done a review of the plans under the standards of Ordinance 2026-04 and cannot anticipate what else might be impacted. Please let me know if you would like me to conduct the review using the code reflected in Ordinance 2026-04. Please note that such a review will incorporate all changes made in that ordinance, not just those that pertain to washers/dryers. If I do not hear otherwise, I will continue the review using the pre-Ordinance 2026-04 code. Sincerely, Lucy Falcy Planner 1 Community Development City of Moscow 208-883-7095
