# FY27 Budget - Available in BS&A.pdf - path: - path: FY27 Budget - Available in BS&A.pdf - type: pdf - size: 93315 bytes - pages: 2 - extraction method: text layer (pypdf) --- Page 1 --- From: Sarah Decker To: All City Users Subject: FY27 Budget - Available in BS&A Date: Tuesday, March 10, 2026 5:51:00 PM Importance: High Hi All – I have loaded FY27 in BS&A and copied over the notes from FY26. I have also created the FY27 budget report. A few reminders as you begin entering your information: 12-month estimate notes: There are no notes for 12-month estimates. When updating notes, anything entered under 12-month estimates will be overridden once you enter your FY27 department request notes. If you need to explain why your 12-month estimates differ, this should be discussed prior to or during your department’s budget meeting. It is also a good idea to print a copy at each phase of the budget process, as notes may be overridden as the budget moves from department requested through adopted. 12-month estimates: These are very important and should reflect where you anticipate each account within your department/fund will be at FY26 year-end. Please enter estimates for all accounts, including payroll. If year-to-date activity is higher or trending above what was anticipated when the FY26 budget was adopted, your 12-month estimates should reflect this. We will also need to understand the reason for the variance. Provided amounts: I will provide your payroll, IS, Fleet, and Insurance amounts. Once I hear back from Avista, I will share the anticipated percentage change for both gas and electric. If you need numbers to help balance and estimate your capital fund transfer, please use the current year amounts for now. I will update once final numbers are available. Shared revenue lines: If a revenue line is shared by multiple departments, please enter your notes and the amount that corresponds to your portion. If another department has already entered theirs, add your supporting notes and update the total to include both amounts. The final total should match the amounts described in the notes. Updating notes: Please review and update all FY26 notes, removing anything that no longer applies. Keep the existing formatting, as the document is structured to flow from one fund to the next to make it easier for readers to follow. Also, please double-check grammar and spelling, as errors can be difficult to catch when reviewing a large number of notes. Accidentally deleted notes: If a current note is accidentally deleted, please refer back to FY26 and restore the previous text before updating it for FY27. If you have any questions, please feel free to reach out. I’m happy to help! --- Page 2 --- Thank you, Sarah Sarah L.
